3-Aminopropylsilanetriol (CAS 58160-99-9) is a water-soluble amino-functional silane coupling agent with three silanol groups. Its molecular structure combines a reactive amine group with silanol (Si–OH) groups, enabling strong bonds with both organic polymers and inorganic surfaces. Unlike conventional alkoxysilanes, it is supplied as an alcohol-free aqueous solution that requires no pre-hydrolysis and contains no VOCs, making it environmentally friendly. This silane is widely used as an adhesion promoter and surface modifier in waterborne coatings, sealants, adhesives, filler treatments, and composite applications. It significantly improves mechanical properties, moisture resistance, and filler dispersion while eliminating hydrolysis-related stability issues.
